أثناء عودته إلى مسقط رأسه ريزا بعد رحلة طويلة، لا يستطيع عزيل أن يلتزم الصمت حيال الوضع غير القانوني على متن سفينته، فيكسب بذلك عدواً شرساً. في الوقت نفسه، يخرج محمد ماتشاري، وريث عائلة ماتشاري من ريزا والمقيم في إسطنبول، من السجن. ويقف محمد على عتبة اتخاذ قرارات مصيرية تتعلق بالمرأة التي يحبها وبعائلته. أما غونَش آيدناي، التي جاءت إلى ريزا في مهمة عمل، فتلتقي صدفة بعزيل، الذي ينقذها من موقف صعب. وخلال فترة قصيرة، وبينما يتشاركان الاستماع إلى ماضي كل منهما، لم يكونا يعلمان أن مستقبلهما سيُبنى من هذه المعرفة. وعندما يكشف عثمان ماتشاري السر الذي أخفاه لسنوات طويلة، تجد عائلة ماتشاري، المرتبطة بخيوط خفية، نفسها وقد دخلت طريقاً لا عودة منه.

Shaken by Güneş’s response to Mehmet’s marriage proposal, Azil leaves the house with Dursun to track down the traitor who infiltrated the Maçari family. But the person he encounters at the meeting place will leave him facing a major dilemma and force him to make an important decision. Dursun, sworn to avenge his mother, is driven by rage onto a path of no return. While trying to protect Dursun, Azil ends up in a jail cell—only to be rescued by lawyer Güneş. Meanwhile, conversations in the council about Mehmet spark Osman Maçari’s suspicions, prompting Mehmet to start scheming to conceal his betrayal. Aware of Güneş’s hesitation about marriage, Nermin keeps pressing her from every direction. As the wedding preparations continue, with Asiye’s moral support behind her, Güneş’s last hope is for Azil to extend his hand and pull her out of this spiral.

All the preparations for Güneş and Mehmet’s wedding are complete, and the signing of the papers is just moments away. Waiting with hope until the very last second, Azil leaves the mansion for good when Güneş says “Yes.” Suspecting that Mehmet has been scheming behind his back, Osman eventually learns the truth about his son and disowns him from the family. Unable to bear the stress any longer, his body finally gives out, putting his life in danger. While the family is left helplessly waiting in shock over Osman’s critical condition, Güneş is filled with deep disappointment toward Azil for keeping the truth from her. Still, with Osman’s and the Maçari family’s safety at stake, the two are forced to take rational steps. As Azil prepares to leave Istanbul on a long journey, never to see the Maçaris again, he receives an offer he never expected

Azil's rise to the helm of the family creates a bombshell effect in the Maçari mansion. Nermin, who is furious with this development, does not hesitate to play her last card and shares the photos with her family members. While waiting for Osman's decision, Güneş and Azil, who have listened to the events from both of them separately, are forced to confront once again their impossibilities for each other. Mehmet, who was excommunicated from his family, has now become the target of his enemies. As he desperately tries to plan his next move, he is in constant danger of being assassinated. Unable to bear the events, especially her aunt's sarcastic words, Güneş decides to go out of town for a few days on business. This decision she made to get away from Istanbul for a while will drag her onto a route she never expected, and she will need Azil's help to escape the irreversible consequences.

Following Güneş's accident, the entire family arrives in Rize. The endangering of Güneş's life once again plunges Mehmet and Azil into a major conflict. Osman, learning that Mehmet was responsible for the accident, once again tells Mehmet to stay away from the family. Alienated from both his family and Güneş in the process, Mehmet is now even more ambitious. He needs Nermin's help in his quest for revenge. Meanwhile, Güneş decides not to go to Istanbul after Haki stops her at the airport and stays in Rize, where she begins to breathe again while spending time with the children. When Azil learns from Fatoş that Güneş didn’t leave, he immediately goes to her; for the first time, the two find the courage to openly talk about the hurt in their hearts and the misunderstandings between them. Güneş tells Azil that she is still in love with him but that her trust has been shaken, suggesting that they give their relationship some time. Azil, on the other hand, makes it clear without hiding his feelings that he will fight to stay in Güneş’s life.

Azil and Güneş’s car breaking down on the road leads to the revelation of a shocking truth about the death of Güneş’s family; the mechanic says that the accident was actually a premeditated murder. While Güneş is devastated by the possibility that her family may have been deliberately killed, Azil decides to join her in pursuing the truth. At the same time, Osman accidentally shoots his own son Mehmet during a clash that erupts as he tries to prevent an ambush set for Azil. Meanwhile, Azil learns both that the people behind the assassination attempt on him are Mehmet and Ziya, and he begins to consider staying away from Güneş in order to protect her.
